This is relatively common and part of the risk that pole vaulters face every day. You wouldn’t catch me running flat out, sticking a long pole into the ground and then being projected five meters into the air.
Very funny video of a few cricket players pulling a hamstring and falling to the ground. The first one is the funniest becasue of the sound effects!
