You would think that this guy would learn. He sucks at pole vaulting.

This guy lands on his pole – that’s gotta hurt (and maybe do some damage!). Pole Vaulting seems to provide most of the humor in Track and Field.

This time the tension builds as we watch them go through their paces. We then get an explanation by the coach why the pole snapped, and a good look at the injuries.

We could go on forever viewing snapping poles.

The commentator actually predicted that this would happen. Maybe he knew that the pole was old and Dan would push it too far.

This is relatively common and part of the risk that pole vaulters face every day. You wouldn’t catch me running flat out, sticking a long pole into the ground and then being projected five meters into the air.
